Raptor Sidecar™

The Raptor Sidecar™ attaches to the iakos to allow the carrying of a passenger (not to exceed 135 lbs.) or camping or fishing equipment. The position of the Sidecar does not interfere with paddling and when a passenger or other weight is carried allows the Raptor to be sailed in moderate winds without use of the hydrofoil. The Sidecar consists of two aluminum rails with carbon fiber ends and a custom, black Sunbrella sling.

High wind sail (6.5 square meters)

This fully battened high wind sail is shorter in the luff than the full size sail and allows the Raptor to be sailed more easily in winds of 20 knots or more.

Racing paddles

Hydrovisions supplies racing paddles by Kialoa Paddles. All wood and hybrid composite models are available.

Wrap-around seat and backrest

The wrap around seat and backrest attaches easily to the standard backrest and provides added comfort and security during expeditions or when sailing in choppy sea conditions. Safety lines run from the side flaps of the wraparound seat and backrest to the forward end of the cockpit.

Kevlar hull reinforcement

Both the Competition model and the Expedition model can be ordered with a special strip of Kevlar cloth in the keel area of the main hull just outside the foam core. This Kevlar reinforcing adds less than 2 lbs. to the overall weight of the boat but makes the hull more resistant to puncture in a hard grounding or if the boat is repeatedly dragged over sand or rock surfaces.
